ABOUT ME

An unexpected path
to politics.

I never expected to get involved in politics. My path here was anything but planned. It was shaped by family, faith, difficult experiences, changing beliefs, unexpected friendships, and a willingness to trust where God was leading me.

01
WHERE I CAME FROM

California roots.

I was born in Selma, Oregon, in 1990 and grew up primarily in Palo Alto and Gilroy, California. Much of my childhood was spent being raised by my grandparents during what was, at times, a difficult upbringing.

Those experiences helped shape how I see people, adversity, responsibility, and the importance of having strong people in your life.

Politics was not something I imagined becoming a major part of my future. For much of my early life, I was surrounded primarily by liberal family members, friends, and communities.

02
QUESTIONING WHAT I BELIEVED

2016 changed the direction of my thinking.

After the 2016 election, I became deeply disillusioned with liberal politics. I believed the Democratic primary process had been unfairly tilted in Hillary Clinton's favor, and that experience caused me to begin questioning political assumptions I had previously taken for granted.

Instead of simply adopting another political label, I started looking into conservative ideas for myself. The more I listened, read, and learned, the more I discovered that I agreed with many conservative principles far more than I had expected.

What began as political curiosity gradually became a much larger change in how I understood faith, culture, personal responsibility, freedom, and the country.

03
THE INFLUENCE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Charlie Kirk

Of all the voices I encountered during that transformation, Charlie Kirk had one of the greatest influences on me.

Charlie had a way of explaining conservative ideas that made me want to understand them rather than simply accept or reject them based on what I had previously been told. Through his work, I learned more about conservative principles, faith, culture, politics, and the importance of being willing to defend what you believe.

He did much more than influence the way I thought about politics. He inspired me to become more engaged, to speak openly about what I believed, and eventually to recognize that ordinary people could have a meaningful role in changing their communities.

WHY TURNING POINT?

Charlie Kirk is the reason I came to love Turning Point. His work helped teach and inspire me long before I ever imagined that I might someday work in politics myself.

Being part of the movement he helped build means something deeply personal to me because it connects the work I do today with one of the people who first inspired me to get involved.

04
FAITH & FELLOWSHIP

I went looking for community.

Even after my beliefs changed, I still wasn't planning a career in politics.

I originally went on X looking for fellowship. Most of my family and longtime friends were liberal, and I wanted to meet Christian conservatives I could talk with, learn from, laugh with, and build genuine friendships with.

Something that started that simply ended up changing the direction of my life.

I put my trust in God and began meeting wonderful people who encouraged me, challenged me, and eventually inspired me to become involved in my own community.

05
TRUSTING THE PLAN

One door led to another.

I didn't map out the path that brought me here.

I kept trusting God's plan, meeting people, saying yes to opportunities, and becoming more involved locally. Each experience seemed to lead naturally to the next.

Eventually, a person who never expected to work in politics found himself doing exactly that.

MY APPROACH Keep trusting God. Keep doing the work. Keep walking through the doors He opens.

That approach has served me well, and it is how I intend to continue moving forward.

06
HOME IN NEVADA

Why Reno?

Reno became much more than simply the place where I live. I fell in love with northern Nevada's outdoor culture, beautiful geography, mountains, open spaces, and the people who make this community what it is.

Nevada has given me a place where I can build a life while staying connected to the outdoors and becoming part of a community that I genuinely care about.

That makes the work I do here personal. These aren't simply names on a voter file or numbers on a spreadsheet. They're my neighbors and the communities I call home.

WHERE I AM TODAY

Turning Point Action

Today, I serve as the Nevada Voter Registration Representative for Turning Point Action.

My work allows me to travel throughout Nevada, meet people face-to-face, register voters, build relationships, and help strengthen grassroots participation across the state.

It's a position I never could have predicted for myself years ago. But looking back at the people I met, the lessons I learned, the influence Charlie Kirk had on my life, and the opportunities that appeared along the way, I can see how each part of the journey helped lead to the next.

I don't know exactly where that path ultimately leads. My goal is to continue putting my trust in God, working hard, serving the communities around me, and following His plan wherever it takes me next.
